Phil Hayes is a truly inspiring Coach and Trainer and brilliant person. So if you're interested in a good read about NLP and coaching, this is one for you:

As the book begins: 'Not strategy. Not technology. It is teamwork that remains the ultimate competitive advantage, both because it is so powerful and so rare.' Anyone who is part of a senior level team, or anyone who works with teams should find the story and the model useful.

How to make an impact and accelerate success for leaders in a new role. A good companion to executive coaching.

'The tipping point' is that moment when an idea, product, trend or behaviour takes off and spreads like a virus. This book explains how that happens. Fascinating reading, lots of examples. Relevant to business, politics, marketing and advertising.

This book, and David Shephard's course that accompanies it, made a huge impression on me. My paralysing fear of public speaking was transformed into confidence and enjoyment. The book also covers how to structure your presentations to reach all your audience. Invaluable stuff.

We've become so used to adrenaline and stress that we forget to use our intuition to keep ourselves safe from real threat. Our senses pick up danger signals that we often ignore or rationalise away. This book is a great reminder of how to trust our instincts and keep safe while actually being less generally fearful of life and people.

A must-read for owner-managers or anyone thinking of setting up in business:

A wonderful book that had a big impact on me. If you're at all hesitant about breaking out of comfort zones, then this book will power you through.

If you don't think that you're lucky, this book might just change all that. It's a fascinating, evidence-based examination of the quality we call 'luck' but is actually about how our expectations and outlook affect our experience of the world. Contains practical exercises to change your luck.

Carol Pearson makes Jungian archetypes accessible! I do coaching and group facilitation around this subject, helping leaders and teams to be more resourceful and achieve whatever they set their mind to. This is a great resource:

Connected to that is this wonderful book for writers. It's about how mythical stories and characters are used in modern writing - books and films - to entertain and move the audience:

Another great resource for writers, or anyone wanting to enhance their creativity:

A bite-sized book introducing the basics of mind-mapping. Includes interesting applications such as meeting notes, decision-making, goal-setting, creating daily, weekly and annual plans and diaries.

Recommended by Karen, a superb business development person. This book uses the creative processes of advertising as a metaphor for good business practice.
